Sound Tigers Announce Roster Moves

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that defenseman Mark Nemec has been recalled from the Colorado Eagles of the East Coast Hockey League and that forward Jason Bast has been signed to a Professional Try Out.

The New York Islanders announced today that they have recalled defenseman Griffin Reinhart on an emergency basis. The Islanders also reassigned forward Sebastian Collberg to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL.

Nemec, 25, has appeared in 13 games for the Eagles, notching one goal and six assists. The Rouses Point, N.Y., native started the year on the Sound Tigers roster before being assigned to Colorado back on Oct. 22.

Bast, 25, has spent the year with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. The Moose Jaw, Sask., native has scored a league-high 13 goals and registered four assists in 19 games this year.

Prior to professional hockey, both players spent four years in college. Nemec played his college hockey at the University of Maine while Bast appeared at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia.

Reinhart, 20, will be in his second go with the Islanders. After spending his first three games in New York, Reinhart was loaned to the Sound Tigers on Oct. 16. He has two goals and six assists on the year in Bridgeport.

Collberg, 20, has played in 10 games with the Sound Tigers this season, recording one goal and one assist. This will be the rookie's first stint in the ECHL.

Both Nemec and Bast have yet to make their American Hockey League debuts. They will get the chance when the Sound Tigers travel to Pennsylvania to take on the Hershey Bears on Friday, December 5 at 7 p.m.
