Atlanta Dream News Release

ATLANTA, Dec. 3, 2014 - The WNBA Atlanta Dream announced today that it has secured a new partnership with the United States Basketball Association (USBA). The partnership will enable the Dream to support and collaborate with the national organization consisting of former players, coaches and administrative professionals that is committed to broadening opportunities for boys and girls who are interested in the game of basketball.

The USBA, which conducts tournaments, camps and clinics for boys and girls in grades 3-12 throughout the country, has a highly-regarded team that includes WNBA television analysts Debbie Antonelli and Nancy Lieberman, former Georgia Tech men's basketball coach Bobby Cremins and Dream television play-by-play broadcaster Bob Rathbun.

"As an organization, we are committed to getting involved at the grassroots level of basketball to ensure that our youth (both boys and girls) have consistent access to quality teaching and training opportunities with the goal of helping them to learn to play the game the right way," said Dream President and General Manager Angela Taylor. "Therefore, we are thrilled about our partnership with the United States Basketball Association, an organization established to aid in the development of our young players, and look forward to growing the game in collaboration with the USBA leadership team."

"We are looking forward to providing unique experiences on and off the court for the boys and girls through our partnership with USBA," said Natalie White, Senior Director of Ticket Sales and Services for the Dream. "We are equally excited about this opportunity to assist with the development and growth through the game of basketball for our youth."

As part of its partnership, the Dream will have a presence at USBA high-profile tournaments, beginning with the Carolina Invitational from Dec. 27-30 in Charleston, S.C. At the tournaments, the Dream will have sales and merchandise tables, contests/giveaways and possible player and staff appearances. The Dream will also appear in the USBA's monthly newsletter as well as its social media channels and website.

"USBA is thrilled to be partnered with the Atlanta Dream," said Mark Thompson, Founder and President of the USBA. "This partnership creates great opportunities for girls of all levels to continue to learn and compete in the great game of basketball. We couldn't be more excited to have this partnership."

The Dream will have multiple games during the 2015 season at which groups from the USBA will have dedicated seating sections and will be able to participate in on-court Fan Experiences at the games. In addition, individuals will have access to locker room tours, player/coach meet and greets, on-court recognition during the game and more.

The three-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream completed its seventh season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) in 2014. The Dream has qualified for the playoffs in each of the past six seasons, and won conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010. Season tickets for the 2015 season, as well as Gift of Dreams holiday ticket packages that include four lower level tickets and a winter kit for $70, can be purchased by calling (877) 977-7729 or visiting www.AtlantaDream.net .
