Wolves Gear up for Double Header Weekend

The Sudbury Wolves will be hosting a double-header weekend when they take on the Oshawa Generals this Friday, December 5th at 7:30PM. The Wolves are back in action Sunday to host the Mississauga Steelheads at 2:00PM.

The Wolves will have their work cut out for them Friday night as the visiting Oshawa Generals lead the Eastern Conference with 41 points. New York Islanders 2014 1st round draft pick MICHAEL DAL COLLE leads the way for the Generals with 41 points in 20 games. The Generals will be without the services of offensive leader COLE CASSELS who is currently in the midst of 10 game suspension.

Friday's game is sponsored by DESJARDINS who will be on hand with a number of giveaways and prizes for lucky fans throughout. Stay in your seats during the first intermission to watch the DESJARDINS puzzle contest. DESJARDINS members are encouraged to visit the DESJARDINS booth in the lower lobby for the extra benefits.

The Wolves will be back on the ice on Sunday afternoon when they host the Mississauga Steelheads. The Steelheads currently sit 3rd in the Central Division with 23 points. Winnipeg Jets prospect JIMMY LODGE and centreman BRYSON CIANFRONE lead the way for the Steelheads. Colorado Avalanche goaltending prospect, SPENCER MARTIN has been solid so far this season earning a 0.924 save percentage.

Sunday's game is sponsored GLENCORE who will be holding a Toy Drive prior to the game. Fans are encouraged to donate new and gently used toys for children in need around the holiday season. Those who do will be entered into a draw to win 1 of 3 $200 gift cards to the New Sudbury Centre. Fans will also receive special GLENCORE Thundersticks upon entry to the game.

Following Sunday's game, be sure to check out the Rogers Hometown Hockey event taking place in the Minto Street parking lot. Everyone is invited to join the free weekend outdoor hockey festival packed with interactive activities for all ages. Please be advised that due to Hometown Hockey, the Minto Street and Minto Street parking lot will be closed. There will be free shuttles from the York Street Parking lot (Bell Park) to the Sudbury Arena.
