Carlo Named to Team USA's National Junior Team Camp

Kennewick, WA - Tri-City Americans defenseman Brandon Carlo is one of 30 players that was invited to attend Team USA's National Junior Team Camp, as announced by USA Hockey today.

USA Hockey announced the 30 players that will attend Team USA's National Junior Team Camp today, with the camp beginning on Dec. 16 at Boston University's Walter Brown Arena.

The 30 players invited to the camp will compete for a spot on the roster, which will be announced on Dec. 24. Team USA will compete in three pre-tournament exhibition games before its first World Junior Championship game on Dec. 26 against Finland.

If Carlo is selected to play for Team USA, he will be the first Americans player to represent Team USA since 1999. He would be the fourth Americans player to play for Team USA, joining former Americans Bill Lindsay (1991), Brian Boucher (1996, 1997) and Scott Gomez (1998, 1999).

Carlo has played in 27 games this season, collecting a goal, 10 points and 27 penalty minutes.

"This is a tremendous accomplishment for Brandon," stated Tory. "We are very proud of him and know he will represent our organization with pride and dignity."
