Hartford Wolf Pack News Release

The Wolf Pack (11-8-2-0, 24 pts.) won two of their three Thanksgiving-week games, starting with a victory in their first shootout of the season Wednesday night in Albany. Mackenzie Skapski made 36 saves, including a penalty-shot stop in overtime, and went 3-for-3 in his first career pro shootout, as the Wolf Pack topped the Devils by a score of 4-3. On Friday night at home, Skapski denied another penalty shot among his 25 saves, but the Wolf Pack could not solve Norfolk goaltender Yann Danis, losing 2-0. Head Coach Ken Gernander's club finished the weekend on a high note, though, defeating Bridgeport on the road Saturday, 3-1, with Ryan Bourque notching the game-winning power-play goal and Cedrick Desjardins making 21 saves.

This week:

The Wolf Pack look forward to their third three-game weekend of the season this week, with home games on tap both Saturday and Sunday. After a Friday-night trip to Syracuse for a 7:00 PM game, the Wolf Pack get their first look at the Eastern Conference-leading Springfield Falcons Saturday at the XL Center. That game is also a 7:00 faceoff, and then the Binghamton Senators make their one-and-only visit of the season to Hartford on Sunday, for a 3:00 matinee.

Friday, December 5 at the Syracuse Crunch (War Memorial Arena), 7:00 PM

- This is the Wolf Pack's second visit of the season to Syracuse, and the third overall meeting between the Wolf Pack and Crunch. The Pack have split a pair of previous battles with the Crunch, winning 4-3 in overtime October 12 in Syracuse, in the Wolf Pack's first game of the season, and falling 5-4 at the XL Center November 19.

- The Crunch (11-7-3-0, 25 pts.) are part of a three-way tie for second place in the Northeast Division, deadlocked with Albany and Bridgeport, one point ahead of the Wolf Pack.

- Syracuse winger Philippe Paradis, who had the third-period game-winning goal for the Crunch in their 5-4 win November 19 in Hartford, has scored five goals in Syracuse's last three games, including a hat trick in a 6-3 loss Friday night vs. Binghamton.

- Broadcast - live with Bob Crawford on Fox Sports Radio 1410, on-line at www.foxsportsradio1410.com and on iHeartRadio. Video streaming at www.ahllive.com.

Saturday, December 6 vs. the Springfield Falcons at the XL Center, 7:00 PM

- The first 5,000 fans into this game will receive a free Wolf Pack car magnet.

- The Falcons have won nine straight games, and 12 of their last 14, under new head coach Jared Bednar, and sport an Eastern Conference-best 31 points (15-7-1-0).

- This is the first of ten meetings on the season between the Wolf Pack and their most familiar rivals the Falcons, and the first of five visits by Springfield to the XL Center. Last year the Wolf Pack were 5-5-0-2 in a 12-game season series with the Falcons, 3-2-0-1 at home.

- Springfield's scoring leader is defenseman Austin Madaisky, whose 20 points (8-12-20 in 23 GP) rank him second among AHL blueliners and tied for seventh overall.

- For this and all Wolf Pack home games, tickets start as low as $12 for youth 12 years old or younger and are available at the XL Center ticket office, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499.

- Broadcast - live with Bob Crawford and Mark Bailey on-line at www.979espn.com and on iHeartRadio. Video streaming at www.ahllive.com.

Sunday, December 7 vs. the Binghamton Senators at the XL Center, 3:00 PM

- The Wolf Pack's "Click It or Ticket Family Value Pack" is again featured on Sundays this year, and has been expanded to Wednesday and Thursday home games as well. The Family Value Pack features two tickets, two sodas and two hot dogs, all for only $35.

- The Senators currently sit third in the East Division with a record of 9-8-2-1 for 21 points, and Head Coach Luke Richardson's club comes into the week on a 4-0-0-1 streak.

- The Wolf Pack and Senators did not play one another last season, and the Whale and Binghamton split a pair of games in their last season series in 2012-13. Connecticut won its only home game vs. the Senators that year, besting Binghamton by a 6-1 score March 24.

- Senator defenseman Chris Wideman leads all AHL backliners, and is tied for second overall, in goals and points, with 11-11-22 in 20 games.

- For this and all Wolf Pack home games, tickets start as low as $12 for youth 12 years old or younger and are available at the XL Center ticket office, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499.

- Broadcast - live with Bob Crawford and Mark Bailey on Fox Sports Radio 1410, on-line at www.foxsportsradio1410.com and on iHeartRadio. Video streaming at www.ahllive.com.
