New Orleans VooDoo News Release

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The New Orleans VooDoo and Head Coach Dean Cokinos announced that the team will wear the original uniform and color scheme for the 2015 season on Friday afternoon.

In addition to the switch back to the original team uniforms, the VooDoo have replica jerseys available for purchase. The replica jerseys start at $60 and include a custom number option. A nameplate option is also available for an additional $10. More information on ordering jerseys can be found here.

"Coach Cokinos approached us about going back to our traditional look and our ownership group was all for it," said VooDoo General Manager Brandon Rizzuto. "Purple is who we are, it's our identity. Our jersey and color scheme is one of the best not just in our league, but in professional sports."

The VooDoo have worn different uniforms in the past two seasons with black being prominently featured in both season's jersey scheme. The team's first year back in 2011 was the only year that the franchise wore the VooDoo's original uniforms, making numerous modifications in the 2012, 2013 and 2014 seasons.

"We are even bringing the snakes back on the sleeves," said Rizzuto. "Sometimes you have to go back to move forward, and though a uniform change does not equal wins and losses, it does solidify our identity. I am sure that our fans will be excited."

The replica jerseys are marked at closeout prices and are priced to move. All sales are final and are limited in quantity.
