IceDogs Crush Bulls

November 27, 2014 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Niagara IceDogs News Release

The Niagara IceDogs poured on the offence, beating the Belleville Bulls 9-2 Thursday night at the Meridian Centre.

The IceDogs got off to a great start with three first period goals from Anthony DiFruscia, Vince Dunn and Josh Ho-Sang. It was Ho-Sang's first goal as an IceDog since coming over in a trade with the Windsor Spitfires.

The second period went much the same way as the first. Jordan Maletta scored just 23 seconds into the middle frame, and Ryan Mantha scored his first OHL goal shortly after that. Michael Cramarossa got one back for the Bulls at 13:03, but Graham Knott and Aaron Haydon gave the IceDogs a commanding 7-1 lead heading into the final frame.

Carter Verhaeghe added to the lead with his eighth goal of the season. Niki Petti beat Hope, who made 34 saves in the win, to make it 8-2. Knott added his second of the game, a beautiful shorthanded goal, to put the Bulls away.

The IceDogs travel to Oshawa to take on the CHL's top-ranked Generals tomorrow night.
