Amerks Hosting "Movember Night" on Friday, November 28

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans are hosting "Movember Night" presented by Urology Associates of Rochester on Friday, Nov. 28 when the Amerks play the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena. The Amerks and UAR have partnered all month to raise money for the Lipson Cancer Center and help create awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men, as several members of the team have been growing mustaches to support the cause.

The first 1,000 fans in attendance at Friday night's game will receive a special Movember-themed T-shirt, courtesy of UAR. There will also be Movember-themed Mystery Pucks for sale that night, with proceeds being donated to the Lipson Cancer Center.

There will be other ways to help support Lipson Cancer Center, as well. Fans can donate funds at the Amerks Community Table located on the main concourse, where a picture of each player will be on display so fans can place donations into the jar associated with their favorite player. Fans that donate will be entered into a raffle to win an Amerks prize. In addition, the game will feature mustache face-painters in the concourse and Movember-themed videos and games throughout the night.
