Carruth Reassigned to Fuel, Reichard Loaned to Chicago Wolves

INDIANAPOLIS - The Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL reassigned goaltender Mac Carruth to the Indy Fuel from the AHL's Rockford IceHogs for the third time this season and Indy netminder Cody Reichard was loaned to the AHL's Chicago Wolves, the Fuel announced Wednesday. A seventh round pick by Chicago (191st overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Carruth earned a 23-save shutout in his lone appearance for Rockford in his most recent AHL assignment, a 3-0 IceHogs road win over the Wolves on Sunday, November 23rd.
In four total ECHL appearances for Indy this season, Carruth, 22, is 0-2-1-1 with a 3.69 goals-against average (GAA) and a .872 save percentage (S%) and made a single-game season high 38 stops in his latest appearance for the Fuel, a 4-1 home loss to the Orlando Solar Bears on November 19th. In seven AHL appearances for Rockford in the 2013-14 season, Carruth posted a 2-2-1 record with a 3.66 GAA and a S% of .880
A 5'11", 165 lb. third-year professional and native of Celina, Ohio, Reichard, 27, is 3-4-1-0 in nine appearances for the Fuel this year with a team-best 2.66 GAA and .907 S%. In nine career AHL appearances for the Houston Aeros and Iowa Wild in parts of the past two seasons, Reichard is 4-2-1 with a combined S% of .911.
