November 25, 2014 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release

The Director of Player Safety of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Raymond Bolduc, suspended Nicolas Leblond of the Baie Comeau Drakkar for 3 games. The suspension was handed out following an incident that occurred on November 23rd, against the Quebec Remparts.

Here is the rationale that led to the decision:

The player at fault tried and insisted on being released from an official during or immediately following an altercation, according to rule 41.5, it is an automatic 3 games suspension.

The Director of Player Safety took this decision after having viewed videos of the incident, considered the officials report, spoken to the players and organizations involved and after consulting the Advisory Committee for disciplinary action.
