Miracles Get Blown out by the Rainmen

(Moncton, NB) The Moncton Miracles were blown out by the Halifax Rainmen with a final score 86-106 of in front of 1,168 fans.

Moncton came started the game with a hot hand knocking down three's from all over the court. Tramar Sutherland added in with 12 early points for the Miracles to give his squad a 27-22 lead after the first twelve minutes of play.

Halifax would continue to press in the second quarter and would end the half shortening the Miracles lead to 51-48. Tramar Sutherland led the Miracles with 14 points at the half, Stanley Robinson added in with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Ando Seiya netted 14 points for the Rainmen. Mike Martin, Chris Cayole, and Tyrone Watson all added in with 7 points each.

The Rainmen would get a second wind in the third quarter and took over the court as well as the score. Moncton's offense struggled and only managed to score 11 points to Halifax's 26. The quarter ended with the Rainmen in control of the scoreboard with a convincing 74-62 lead over the Miracles.

The Miracles started the fourth quarter in a hole, which would continue to grow. Halifax was a force in the paint putting up 60 points compared to Moncton's 36 points inside. The Miracles were out rebounded with Halifax pulling down 60 boards to Moncton's 37. This is the second loss in a row that the Miracles led for the majority of the game and could not pull out the win.

Tramar Sutherland led the way for the Miracles with 16 points. Stanley Robinson added another double double to his resume this season with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Troy Brewer had 14.

Trayvon Lathan was scratched for the game due to a second-degree upper calf strain that occurred last week at practice. Lathan is day to day.

Tyrone Watson had a double double for the Rainmen with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Seiya Ando and Mike Martin both netted 19 for the visiting Halifax squad.

The Miracles travel to Ontario this week to take on the Windsor Express on Wednesday, November 26th and the London Lightning on Thursday, November 27th. This is the beginning of a four away game road trip. The Miracles next home game is scheduled for Saturday, December 6th against the Brampton A's. Tip-off is 7pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
