Tiguinho Leads Fury Back for OT Win

The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, rallied from an early three-goal deficit to defeat the Rochester Lancers 15-13 in overtime at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y.

The game was played under the Multiple Point Scoring system, allowing two points for a goal and three points for a long distance goal. The Fury outscored the Lancers, seven goals to six.

Ontario's team captain Tiguinho matched a team record with five goals in the game, the last two forcing overtime. He then scored the game-winner on the power play. Tiguinho scored the final five Ontario goals overall.

Joey Pacheco and Stephen Basso - who played last season for Rochester - also scored goals for the Fury. Basso also assisted on the game-winner.

Fury president and coach Bernie Lilavois, pressed into service due to the red card suspension of Israel Sesay, had two assists for Ontario.

Alex Megson and Mauricio Salles each scored two goals for the Lancers.

With the win, the Fury move to 2-3 on the season. Rochester is 1-1.

Ontario will next play Tuesday, Dec. 2, against the Las Vegas Legends at the Orleans Arena.

The Fury will return to Citizens Businss Bank Arena on Sunday, Dec. 7 for a game against the Turlock Express. The Dec. 7 game is being presented by West Coast Ultrasound Institute of Ontario, and will feature the popular Mascot halftime game.
