GOING EXTRA - Wichita fell behind 3-0 before climbing back into the game on Tuesday night and forcing overtime. The Oilers eventually won, outscoring the Thunder 2-0 in the shootout round. It was the third time this season that the Thunder and Oilers needed more than 60 minutes to decide the outcome of their contest at the BOK Center. The Thunder have played three times at the BOK.

STREAKING - Stephen Schultz extended his point-streak on Tuesday night with an assist on the first Thunder goal. He has eight points (1g, 7a) during that stretch, including multi-assist outings against Missouri, Allen and Rapid City. With one more point, he would take over the lead for longest point-streak by a Thunder player this season. Jared Walker also had a five-game point-streak earlier this season (4g, 2a).

CHANCES - Wichita started out the season trying to find scoring chances. The Thunder averaged 23.33 shots per game in the first three contests. Over the last six games, Wichita has eclipsed 30 or more shots and is averaging 37 shots per game over that stretch. The Thunder unloaded 26 shots in the second period and 49 shots against the Oilers on Tuesday, which are new season highs.

SPECIAL TEAMS - Over the last six games, the Thunder power play has improved and is finding quality scoring chances. Wichita has scored a power play goal in five of the last six game, going 7-for-25 over that span and good for a 28% rate. Overall, Wichita is 10th in the league at 18.9% on the power play and 81.8% on the penalty kill.

STOPPING SEBBY - Missouri's Sebastian Thinel has been a challenge for Wichita since the 2011-12 season. In that stretch, Thinel has scored 36 points (11g, 25a) against the Thunder, including one goal and one assist so far this year. Thinel is Missouri's leading scorer this year with 11 points (4g, 7a).
