Chill Sign Erickson to Tender

The Madison Capitols, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that three members of this year's 18U team have signed tender agreements to play in the North American Hockey League (NAHL).

Forward Phil Erickson has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Coulee Region Chill. Forward Tyler Berndt has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Brookings Blizzard and defenseman Austin Redders has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Minnesota Wilderness.

Through 14 games and the first three events, the Capitols are in 1st place in the NAPHL's 18U Division with a 13-1-0- record.

Erickson, 17, is on the Chill's affiliate roster and has already played for Coulee Region in one game this season. The native of Eau Claire, WI had an impressive NAHL debut scoring the game-winning goal and adding an assist in a 4-0 win over Austin back on October 31st. Erickson (5'9/170) has had a very good NAPHL season thus far as he ranks 2nd on the team in points with 17 (7 goals, 10 assists) in 14 games played. His 10 assists are tied for 5th in the 18U Division.

Berndt, 17, who signed a tender agreement with the Brookings Blizzard, has been the model of consistency this year for the Capitols. The native of Fon Du Lac, WI, leads the team in scoring with 19 points (10 goals, 9 assists) in 14 games played. Berndt (5'11/175) has registered at least a point in 12 of the 14 games and is currently riding a 10-game point streak. His 19 points ranks tied for 3rd in the 18U Division and his 10 goals are 4th.

Redders is a 17-year-old defenseman who hails from McFarland, WI. Of the 12 NAPHL players tendered to date, he is one of four defensemen and the second NAPHL tender for the Minnesota Wilderness. Through 14 games this season, Redders (6'0/185) is tied for 6th in NAPHL 18U scoring for defensemen with 10 points (1 goal, 9 assists). His 9 assists ranks 4th among all NAPHL 18U defensemen. Redders played well at the event in Omaha as Madison went undefeated with a 4-0 record and Redders chimed in with four points in the four wins.
