Steelheads Acquire Jimmy Lodge from Saginaw

MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads announced Friday morning that they have traded forward Jesse Barwell, and defenceman Greg DiTomaso (along with a 3rd round pick in 2015, a 6th round pick in 2016, and a 2nd round pick in 2017 [cond.]) to the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for Winnipeg Jets prospect, Jimmy Lodge.
Barwell was selected by the Mississauga Steelheads in the 2nd round (26th overall) at the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. The Oakville, Ontario native recorded 17 points (4 goals, 13 assists) in 60 games during his rookie season, and has contributed 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in 18 games so far this season.
DiTomaso was selected by Mississauga in the 8th round (153rd overall) at the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. A native of Toronto, Ontario, DiTomaso posted 14 points (2 goals, 12 assists) during the 2013-14 campaign, and has recorded 2 assists so far this season with the Steelheads.
Coming back in the deal to Mississauga is right-winger Jimmy Lodge, who was selected by the Saginaw Spirit in the 3rd round (62nd overall) at the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. Now in the midst of his 4th OHL season, the Downingtown, Pennsylvania native has appeared in 186 games for the Spirit, recording 143 points (65 goals, 78 assists), and adding 95 penalty minutes. Lodge was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the 3rd round (84th overall) at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, and has been a top contributor in Saginaw so far this season with 18 points (10 goals, 8 assists) in 18 games.
