Nicholson, Jane Return to Hammerheads

Wilmington, NC - Wilmington Hammerheads FC announced today the return of midfielder Paul Nicholson and forward Sunny Jane for the 2015 USL PRO regular season. Both return to the Hammerheads to fulfill their second year of their two-year contracts.
"My time in Wilmington has been nothing short of fantastic," said Paul Nicholson. "We finished last season on a very positive note and with plans to bring back a great core group of players, I am really looking forward to see how we can keep progressing next year. It is a privilege to be coming back and playing again in front of our amazing fans. I cannot wait for next season to roll around."
The upcoming season will be Nicholson's fifth consecutive season with the club. In 2014, he appeared in 27 matches and tallied one goal.
"From day one Paul has been on board with what we are trying to do at the club," said Wilmington Hammerheads FC Technical Director and Head Coach Carson Porter. "He always wants to improve, he is a great leader in the locker room and is someone that all of us have the utmost respect for. I am really looking forward to this year for Paul, I think there are great things ahead for him."
Sunny Jane made his professional debut with the Hammerheads in 2014 following his collegiate career with the University of Maryland. He appeared in a total of 17 matches, scoring five goals and tallying three assists. Jane, a native of the African country Lesotho, was called up to join the Lesotho Men's National Team during the USL PRO regular season to take part in qualifying matches for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Prior to moving to the United States at the age of 13 years-old, Jane played for the U15-16 Lesotho National Team.
"Sunny has special qualities and he showed them towards the end of the year," said Porter. "What is exciting for us is that I don't think we have seen the best of Sunny and we look forward to working with him and helping him reach his potential as a player. We knew coming into the offseason we wanted to have Sunny back and are excited about his future."
