ROYALS PRE-GAME NOTES

- Tonight, the Royals finish off a four game road trip, but also kick off a span where the team will play six games over the next nine days. Tomorrow's game at Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania, starts a ten game home stand, the longest in team history.

- Reading is riding a season-long three game winning streak coming into tonight's game.

- The Royals have scored first in six of the eleven games the team has played so far-including the last two in a row-and the team has compiled a record of 4-2-0-0 in those games.

- The Royals generated a season high 19 shots in the first period of the team's last game (Sunday's 4-3 shootout win in Toledo). Last Friday in Kalamazoo, the Royals generated 18 first period shots.

- Two of the Royals' three wins last week were resolved in the shootout. Reading is 3-0 in the shootout so far this season (and is the only team in the ECHL that has won three shootouts). All three of Reading's shootout wins have come on the road. This marks the first time in team history that Reading has won three shootouts in a single season on the road.

- Reading's power play was held off the board in the team's last two games, marking the first time this season that the team has failed to score a power play goal in back-to-back games. The power play has been blanked in only four of the eleven games played to this point in the season.

- The Royals penalty killers have not allowed a power play goal against in three straight games-and ten consecutive power play chances for the opposition. Reading's penalty killers have blanked the opposition's power play five times this year.

- Cam Reid is riding a ten game point streak (5g-8a), which is the longest active point streak in the league.

- Adam Hughesman recorded his team leading fifth multi-point performance (1g-1a) in last Saturday's 3-1 win in Kalamazoo. Hughesman, who leads the Royals with fifteen points (5g-10=15pts), also scored a critical game-tying goal 11:28 into the third period (32 seconds after Toledo had taken their second lead of the period) in Sunday's 4-3 shootout win over the Walleye.

- David Marshall is riding a five game point streak (4g-4a). Marshall scored the game winning goal in the 3- 1 win over Kalamazoo last Saturday.

- Pat Mullane scored his second shootout game winner of the year shooting sixth in Toledo on Sunday.

- Forward Andrew Johnston was assigned today by the Philadelphia Flyers (NHL) from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms to the Royals. Johnston had been originally assigned to Reading on October 6, but was recalled to Lehigh Valley before the start of the ECHL season. He has not yet played a game for the Royals. In eight games with the Phantoms this season, he has recorded two penalty minutes.
