Blackhawks Reassign Carruth to AHL

INDIANAPOLIS - A 6'3", 182 lb. goaltender and native of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, second-year pro Mac Carruth was reassigned by the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks from the Indy Fuel to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL for the third time this season, the Fuel announced Thursday. Selected by the Blackhawks in the seventh round (191st overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Carruth has yet to appear in a game for the IceHogs in his previous two AHL assignments this year.

Carruth made a single-game season-high 38 saves in Wednesday's 4-1 Fuel loss to the Orlando Solar Bears at the Fairgrounds Coliseum and in four total ECHL appearances for Indy this season, Carruth, 22, is 0-2-1-1 with a 3.69 goals-against average (GAA) and a .872 save percentage (S%). In seven AHL appearances for Rockford in the 2013-14 season, Carruth posted a 2-2-1 record with a 3.66 GAA and a S% of .880
