Knights Sign 3 from UC Irvine

Corvallis Knights News Release
The Corvallis Knights have signed freshman left-handed pitcher/first baseman Cameron Bishop, freshman middle infielder Cole Kreuter and sophomore right-handed pitcher Michael Martin of UC Irvine for the 2015 season.
Kreuter (6-1, 180) is from Miami, Fla., and played for Victoria and Wenatchee in the West Coast League as a graduated high school senior last summer. He hit .250 (8-32) in 13 games at Victoria, with two RBIs, and .229 (19-83) in 24 games at Wenatchee, with eight RBIs.
He is son of former major league catcher/USC coach Chad Kreuter and the grandson of UCI coach Mike Gillespie. He graduated from Westminster Christian High School.
The 6-4, 225-pound Bishop is from Brea, Calif., and played at Brea Olinda High School. He was 6-3, 1.65 in 12 games in 2014, with 77 strikeouts in 63.2 innings.
Martin signed with the Knights last season but missed the 2014 summer due to injury. He was 0-1 with a 9.64 ERA in five games at UCI last year. The 6-1, 200-pounder played at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego.
