November 19, 2014 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Ontario Fury News Release

The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, will be letting students in grades six through 12 take over Citizens Business Bank Arena during their game Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015.

The first-ever "Kids Take Over CBBA" event will give students the chance to shadow members of the Fury's staff during Ontario's game against the Las Vegas Legends. Kickoff for the game is 3 p.m.

Students will get a behind-the-scenes look at the game operations of a professional sporting event, from ticket sales to media relations to working alongside Jeff Pope in the public address announcer's booth. The program is being sponsored in part by the Fury Foundation and Baldy View Regional Occupational Program.

Interested students need to download and fill out an application from OntarioFury.com/Kids-Take-Over-CBBA, and submit the application by Dec. 17. Students will then go through an interview process and receive resume-writing tips as part of the process.

Students also have the opportunity to apply for scholarships through the program, and can nominate teachers to be honored as part of the festivities, as the Jan. 18 game is also Teacher Appreciation Night.

The Fury Foundation is the nonprofit arm of the Ontario Fury, with the mission of Building Community Through Soccer. The foundation helps fund the "Health's A Kick!" school assembly program, as well as give scholarships for education and indoor soccer camps. Founded in 2014, the Foundation has been to more than 60 schools this fall, and will continue its work in the community throughout the year.

Students interested in participating in the "Kids Take Over CBBA" event need to complete and return an application by Dec. 17 to the Fury's offices at: 520 N. Euclid Ave., Ontario, CA, 91762, Attn. "Kids Take Over CBBA."
