Belleville Bulls News Release

BELLEVILLE, ON - The Belleville Bulls and United Way of Quinte are hoping to score big again this year.

The Belleville Bulls and United Way of Quinte are hoping to score big again this year. For a second year, the OHL team is partnering with the non-for-profit organization when the Barrie Colts face the Bulls at Yardmen Arena this Sunday for a 4:05 p.m. puck drop.

Then, fans can attend the matinee game for s discounted price of $13.50 by using a United Way voucher when purchasing a ticket.

Judi Gilbert, executive director of United Way of Quinte, stated one voucher must be used for each ticket purchased.

Vouchers are available on United Way of Quinte's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/UnitedWayofQuinte), where fans can print them off and present them at the Bulls box office when purchasing tickets.

Vouchers are also available at Body By Sergio at 111 North Front St., and at Bourbon Street Pizza Company in downtown Belleville, across from Market Square.

In turn, the Bulls will be donating $5 to United Way's 2014 fundraising campaign for every voucher received at the box office on game day.

The Bulls and United Way look at eclipsing the 2013 mark of nearly $2.04 million with a current benchmark of $2,090,000 for the year.

In addition to the funds donated through ticket sales, Gilbert noted there will be an autographed PK Subban jersey available for bidding.

"This is the second year of an exciting partnership with a franchise that is well established in our community," stated Gilbert.

"We would like to grow this event and surpass the amount of money we raised last year. Anyone who is free on Sunday afternoon is welcome to attend the game. Together with the Bulls, anyone who uses the voucher is helping to support a network of local charities throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties."

United Way of Quinte funded 43 different agencies across the two counties last year, with 55,000 people, roughly one-third of the regional population, accessing those funded agencies.
