SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today that Manchester Monarchs center Nick Shore has been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 16, 2014.

Shore tallied three goals and four assists for seven points and had a plus-7 rating in four Monarchs victories to help Manchester take over the best record in the Eastern Conference at 10-4-0-0 (.714).

Shore recorded an assist on Tuesday night as Manchester began the week with a 4-0 win at Portland. On Friday, Shore picked up a goal to help the Monarchs to a 5-2 victory at Worcester, and he tied a career high with three points on Saturday - scoring once and dishing out two assists - as Manchester erased a two-goal deficit and defeated Providence, 5-2. Finally, Shore scored again on Sunday and assisted on the game-winning overtime goal as the Monarchs edged Hartford, 4-3.

A third-round pick by Los Angeles in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Shore leads Manchester with eight goals, 14 points (tied) and a plus-9 rating in 14 games this season. The 22-year-old native of Denver, Colo., was the Monarchs' top-scoring rookie in 2013-14, tallying 14 goals and 24 assists for 38 points along with a plus-18 rating in 68 games.
