KENNEWICK, WA- The Victoria Royals allowed two powerplay goals in a 4-1 loss against the Tri-City Americans on Friday night at the Toyota Center.

The Royals and Americans were scoreless before Tri-City scored two goals in each of the final two periods for a 4-0 advantage. Victoria's lone marker was tallied by Tyler Soy midway through the final frame. The Americans' got two goals from Richard Nejezchleb, while Beau McCue and Justin Gutierrez also scored.

Royals' goaltender Coleman Vollrath stopped 31 of 35 shots on net, while netminder Eric Comrie turned away 24 of 25 shots for the Americans.

Victoria went 0/40.0% on the powerplay, while Tri-City went 2/540.0%.

The Royals end their road trip tomorrow night against the Vancouver Giants with puck drop at 7:00 p.m.

Victoria will return home for a pair of games vs. the Kelowna Rockets on Tuesday, November 18th and Wednesday, November 19th to begin a stretch of four games in five nights.
