McCoil Named Outstanding Rookie Finalist

(Edmonton) - Today, the Canadian Football League announced Eskimo linebacker Dexter McCoil has been voted the Most Outstanding Rookie in the West Division.
The University of Tulsa product recorded 67 defensive tackles, 10 special teams tackles, four quarterback sacks, seven pass knockdowns, six interceptions to tie for the league lead, and a league-leading three defensive touchdowns .
Division winners were selected by 68 voters from the Football Reporters of Canada and head coaches from across the league. The 2014 CFL Awards will be handed out on Thursday, November 27 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia, as part of the 102nd Grey Cup festivities.
