Missoula PaddleHeads News Release

MISSOULA, Mont. - The Missoula Osprey, in conjunction with the Pioneer League, released their game schedule for the 2015 season today. The Osprey will open their 17th season in Missoula with six games on the road beginning Thursday, June 18 with the first two at Helena followed by four at Billings. The O's home opener is set for Wednesday, June 24 against the Helena Brewers.

In all, nearly 700,000 fans have watched Osprey regular season baseball since 2007. This year, the regular season runs from June 18 to September 8. The Osprey will finish it on the road with two games at Great Falls and two games at Helena. The regular season home finale is set for Friday, Sept. 4 against Great Falls.

Although a complete promotional calendar will be released at a later date, the Osprey are planning to host their 11th Annual Independence Day Fireworks Celebration following the game Friday, July 3. It will be one of at least four fireworks shows planned for the 2015 season.

"We are pleased to have our complete game schedule for 2015, as it means we are one step closer to the beginning of the 17th season of Missoula Osprey baseball," said Osprey Vice President/General Manager Jeff Griffin. "Now that the schedule is complete, we can begin preparing our promotional calendar, which will again include many fun and exciting promotions to enhance the fan experience at the ballpark."

The Osprey are a member of the Pioneer League's Northern Division and will again compete with the other three Montana teams (Helena, Great Falls, and Billings) for the division title. The 76-game schedule will once again be split into a two-half-season format with the first half ending July 27. The winners of each half for each division advance to the post-season. Here are the division alignments along with the affiliates for each of the teams:

North Division: Missoula Osprey (Arizona Diamondbacks); Billings Mustangs (Cincinnati Reds); Great Falls Voyagers (Chicago White Sox); Helena Brewers (Milwaukee Brewers)

South Division: Grand Junction Rockies (Colorado Rockies); Idaho Falls Chukars (Kansas City Royals); Ogden Raptors (Los Angeles Dodgers); Orem Owlz (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim)

Also new on the 2015 schedule is the first ever Pioneer Baseball League and Northwest League of Professional Baseball All-Star Game hosted by the Spokane Indians at Avista Stadium Tuesday August 4, 2015. The game will highlight the future of Major League Baseball with some of the top talent from both leagues.
