Aces Host Military Appreciation Weekend November 14-15

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, the 2014 Kelly Cup champions, announced their three game series on Friday through Sunday, Nov. 14-16 at Sullivan Arena against the Stockton Thunder is scheduled to host "Military Appreciation Weekend," offering ticket specials and themed jerseys to be worn by the Aces.

As part of the series, designed to salute and honor active, retired and deceased members from duty on Friday and Saturday, the Aces will offer a special package of two game tickets for just $12 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Packages are available exclusively to members at the Information, Tickets and Travel (ITT) office at Joint-Base Elemendorf-Richardson in Anchorage.
Games on Friday and Saturday begin at 7:15 p.m. and Sunday's game begins at 3:05 p.m.
Fans are also invited to participate in a special military ticket donation program and deliver unused tickets for any of the three games to the Aces offices, which will be forwarded to lower-income, entry level ranking military members.
Friday's game, launching the festivities, will feature a special pregame "Fallen Warrior" ceremony to honor deceased members who served in the line of duty.
For both Friday and Saturday, the Aces will wear specialty military jerseys available via live auction after Saturday's game and the annual "Teddy Bear Toss" event returns, with fans encouraged to bring a new or gently-used stuffed animal and throw it on the ice of Sullivan Arena after the Aces score their first goal of the game.
All stuffed animals will be collected and donated to Toys for Tots. Fans donating a non-plush toy are encouraged to visit toy deposit kiosks, located at each entrance of Sullivan Arena.
Sunday's game concludes with the third postgame Fred Meyer "Skate With The Aces" event of the season, where fans can skate on the ice of Sullivan Arena and meet their favorite Aces players for autographs and photos. Special $10 tickets for the game are available on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Aces offices (corner of 15th and Gambell) for fans presenting their Fred Meyer card.
