McCabe to Join Havoc behind the Bench

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach Glenn Detulleo announced today that former Havoc player and UAH assistant coach, John McCabe, is going the team as a volunteer assistant coach.
"I'm excited to add someone with John's experience to our coaching staff," Detulleo said. "He brings a wealth of knowledge to our organization but most importantly he's a great person. I look forward to working with John as we strive to bring a championship to our fans."
McCabe played in 302 career professional games from 1997-2005. He scored 52 goals, recorded 62 assists and had 518 career penalty minutes. The Sudbury, Ontario native finished his career with the Havoc during the 2004-05 season when he played in seven games and nine penalty minutes. He played in 82 career games at UAH from 1995-1998 where he scored 35 goals and recorded 53 assists.
"I really excited to be a part of such a fantastic organization," McCabe said. "I've missed being involved with the sport and being a part of the locker room. This is a great opportunity for me and I appreciate Glenn letting me be a part of the team."
McCabe began his coaching career as an assistant coach at UAH where he served from 2004-2010. He left Huntsville and became the head coach at Division III Finlandia University in Hancock, Michigan, where he posted a 17-43 record in three seasons.
