Signed/Re-Signed:

Matt Fields, INF - Led the Storm Chasers with 81 RBI in his first season at the Triple-A level, which also led all Kansas City farmhands, while also being second on both the Chasers and in the Royals organization with 28 home runs (trailing Carlos Peguero). Posted his second best average for a season in nine-year professional career at .262 (third most hits on Omaha with 122). Had a career high 59 extra-base hits, which ranked second most in the PCL. His 168 RBI the last two seasons are also tops in the Royals Minor League system.

Clayton Mortensen, RHP - Has made 21 appearances for the Storm Chasers since being acquired late in the 2013 season (and four postseason appearances). He did not allow a run in his first 20.1 innings in 2014, which was the longest streak for Omaha in the last ten seasons. Allowed three runs or less in 10 of 15 starts this season for the Chasers.

Malcom Culver, RHP - Made three appearances for Omaha in 2014, including a 3.0-inning save in his Triple-A debut on August 9. Made 41 appearances for Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

Moises Sierra, OF - Claimed off waivers from the Chicago White Sox in late October. Spent first nine years of professional career with the Toronto Blue Jays before being claimed by White Sox in May of 2014. Has appeared in 180 games at the Major League Level and 204 games at the Triple-A level (including 100 games in the PCL with Las Vegas during the 2012 season).

Traded:

Liam Hendriks, RHP - Traded to Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for catcher Santiago Nessy, the organization Kansas City acquired him from earlier this year in the Danny Valencia trade. Hendriks won four of his five starts for the Storm Chasers in 2014, including striking out a Omaha PCL record 12 batters in his debut with the Chasers on August 1.
