Pirates Announce 2015 Spring Training Schedule and Ticket Pricing

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced the team's 2015 Spring Training schedule and ticket pricing for games at McKechnie Field in Bradenton, Florida, the southern home of the Pirates since 1969. The 33-game Florida schedule consists of 15 home games and features the intrasquad "Black and Gold" benefit game on Monday, March 2.

The Pirates are scheduled to open their 2015 Grapefruit League season against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, March 3 in Dunedin, Florida. The Pirates will then host the Blue Jays the following day in their Spring Training Home Opener at McKechnie Field on Wednesday, March 4 at 1:05 p.m.

Prior to the April 6 regular season Opening Day in Cincinnati, the Pirates will return to Pennsylvania to play two exhibition games against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The two games are scheduled for Friday, April 3 at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, April 4 at 1:05 p.m.

With the additions of a new boardwalk in 2013, along with the Left Field Party Deck and Left Field Bleachers, the Pirates established a club record by drawing 93,433 fans during spring training last season. Despite three rainouts last season, the club drew a record average attendance of 7,587 per game and set a new single-game attendance record of 8,566 on Saturday, March 22 vs the Phillies.

Season Tickets

Pirates Spring Training Season Tickets, which go on sale Monday, November 24, remain one of the best values in the Grapefruit League. Fans now have the opportunity to secure the best seats as deposits for 2015 Spring Training Season Tickets are being accepted at pirates.com/springtrainingdeposits. Season ticket pricing is as follows:

Also available for unique season ticket packages are the 4Topps tables located on the new McKechnie Field Boardwalk. Ticket packages for the area are $2,800 for four seats and include $800 in Bucs Bucks, to be used on ballpark concessions, per table.

* Price includes tickets for every game played at McKechnie Field, including the "Black and Gold" game ticket. A portion of the proceeds from the "Black and Gold" intrasquad game will benefit the Manatee Education Foundation.

Current season ticket holders will be receiving their renewal forms beginning the second week of November, and will have until Friday, January 16, 2015 to renew their same seats for the 2015 season.

Weekend/Night Game Package

The Pirates will offer a five-game Weekend/Night Game Package during Spring Training which will also go on sale Monday, November 24. The package includes tickets to four weekend games and the one scheduled night game at McKechnie Field on Wednesday, March 18 against the Detroit Tigers.

Group Tickets

New group ticket reservations can be made starting Monday, November 24 and returning groups ticket accounts from 2014 are able to purchase in advance, beginning on Monday, November 10. Groups of 15 or more are able to reserve tickets in preferred seating areas before they go on sale to individual buyers for the best opportunity to secure seats together. Other group benefits include personalized service from a team representative, in-game welcome announcement over the PA system, special group add-ons available at discounted prices, and the ability to earn special in-park experiences.

Bradenton Marauders

Pirates Spring Training season ticket holders will receive a complimentary ticket to the Bradenton Marauders opening night game on Saturday, April 11 against the St. Lucie Mets. The Marauders, the Pirates' Florida State League affiliate, play a 70-game home schedule at McKechnie Field. Season tickets for the 2015 season, the team's sixth in Bradenton, cost just $300 and are on sale now by calling (941) 747-3031. "Early Bird" Pre-Sale Opportunity

Prior to the individual ticket on-sale, fans will have the opportunity to take part in an online-only "Early Bird" pre-sale from January 21-23. The "Early Bird" pre-sale will give fans the opportunity to purchase single game tickets before they go on sale to the general public. "Early Bird" pricing is different than regular single game pricing and is an alternative purchase opportunity for fans who want to be guaranteed seats to high-demand games. Prior to the "Early Bird" pre-sale, a separate pre-sale will take place for Pirates' season ticket holders from January 19 and 20 at regular individual game prices.

The individual Spring Training game tickets will go on sale on Saturday, January 24, at 10 a.m. at the McKechnie Field Box Office, online at pirates.com/springtraining, or by calling (877) 893-2827. Individual game tickets will have advanced sale pricing and day of game pricing.
