Silvertips Beat Giants 5-1

Dalton Sward scored Vancouver's lone goal in his return to the lineup after missing three games due to injury, but the Giants fell 5-1 to the Everett Silvertips at the Pacific Coliseum on Friday night. Patrick Bajkov scored twice in the win for the "Tips. Vancouver is now 7-10-0-0 on the season.
Logan Aasman opened the scoring for the visitors just 2:14 into the first period, finding the net right off a face-off with a backhander from the slot. Bajkov scored both of his goals in the first period as well, and the Silvertips led 3-0 after one.
Sward got Vancouver on the board in the middle frame, beating Everett goalie Carter Hart with a long wrist shot off the right wing. Graham Millar potted his seventh of the year later in the stanza on a power play before Matt Fonteyne tallied his first of the year in the third period to complete the Everett scoring.
The Giants will now head out on the road to visit the Kelowna Rockets on Saturday night. The face-off is set for 7:05pm.
