IceDogs Win a Thriller

November 6, 2014 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Niagara IceDogs News Release

The Niagara IceDogs handed the Erie Otters their first regulation loss of the season Thursday night at the Meridian Centre.

Blake Siebenaler scored the IceDogs only goal of the first period, and goals from Kyle Pettit and Kurtis MacDermid gave the Otters a 2-1 lead after one period.

The IceDogs took over in the second. Two goals just over 30 seconds apart from Cody Payne and Johnny Corneil gave the IceDogs a 3-2 lead. Hayden McCool added his third of the season at 18:57 to make it 4-2.

Graham Knott added another goal for good measure as they IceDogs won for the third time in the Meridian Centre, in front of a sellout crowd.

Brent Moran helped shut down the OHL's leading scorer in Connor McDavid, making 38 saves in the win.

The IceDogs will look to keep this momentum going tomorrow night, when they visit the Steelheads in Mississauga.
