ValleyCats Announce 2015 Season Schedule

TROY, NY- The ValleyCats will enter their 14th season in 2015, and on Thursday the team officially released its 76-game season schedule.

The 'Cats begin the season with a six-game road trip in Connecticut and Brooklyn, before kicking off Opening Night festivities on Thursday, June 25 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, the first of a three-game set vs. the Staten Island Yankees (June 25-27).

This is the first time in ValleyCats history that they will begin their home slate of games with the New York Yankees affiliate.

July begins at "The Joe" as the ValleyCats host Stedler Division rivals, the Vermont Lake Monsters (July 1-3) and Lowell Spinners (July 4-6), which includes the traditional July 4th Independence Day celebration vs. the Red Sox affiliate.

Vermont comes back to town July 15-17, followed by the Aberdeen IronBirds, affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, on July 18-20.

The ValleyCats will welcome in the newest New York-Penn League franchise, the West Virginia Black Bears, affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, for a three-game series on July 28-30. The Morgantown, West Virginia-based club relocated from Jamestown, New York.

The 'Cats wrap up July and welcome the month of August with three games vs. the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (July 31 - August 2), affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

The Lowell Spinners make their final appearance at "The Joe" on August 9-11, which will be followed by a three-game set vs. the Auburn DoubleDays (August 12-14), affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

A short two-gamer will take place on August 21-22 vs. Tri-City's Thruway foe Hudson Valley Renegades, affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, and on August 24-26 the ValleyCats will host division rival Connecticut Tigers, affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.

The New York Mets affiliate, Brooklyn Cyclones make their first and only trip to "The Joe" on August 30 - September 1, and the 'Cats conclude the 2015 season at home on Labor Day Weekend vs. Connecticut (September 5-7).
