Red Deer Rebels News Release

EVERETT, WA - Game four of the Rebels six-game road trip proved to be difficult, as the Everett Silvertips won 6-3 over Red Deer Wednesday night.

The Silvertips scored three times in the opening period, on goals by Carson Stadnyk, Graham Millar, and Braydon Low to make it 3-0 for Everett after one period.

In the second, the Rebels scored a couple of early goals to cut the lead to 3-2, Conner Bleackley and Tyler Sandhu finding the net. The Silvertips added a power play marker by Nikita Scherbak to go up 4-2. But a late one by Conner Bleackley made it 4-3 Everett after 40 minutes.

The Silvertips didn't give the Rebels much room in the third period. Scherbak scored his second of the night to make it 5-3, then he also added an empty net goal for the hat trick, and to make the final score 6-3.

Taz Burman made 17 saves in the Rebels net; Austin Lotz stopped 17 in the Silvertips goal.

The Rebels were 0 for 2 on the power play and killed 2 of 3 shorthanded situations.

The Rebels are in Portland Friday, the broadcast on 106.7 The Drive begins at 7:50PM.
