Barnett Added to Thunder Roster

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have announced the signing of J.T. Barnett per Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Kromm.

Barnett, 22, turned pro last season, playing a combined 37 games with the Ontario Reign and Orlando Solar Bears, registering 3 goals and 11 assists.

The Scottsdale, Arizona native played five seasons and a total of 259 games in his WHL career with the Vancouver Giants, Kamloops Blazers, Everett Silvertips and Kelowna Rockets. Barnett becomes the third former Vancouver Giant on the Thunder joining fellow alums Garet Hunt and James Henry, with Barnett even playing with Henry during his first two seasons in the WHL.
