Chicago Bandits News Release

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Chicago Bandits GM, Aaron M. Moore, announced today the re-signing of 2014 All-NPF outfielder Emily Allard for the 2015 season. Allard becomes the first player to officially join the 2015 Bandits roster.

"The Bandits are very excited about the re-signing of Emily for the 2015 season," said Moore. "She was a big part of our offensive success in 2014 and we look for her to produce again next season.

"Additionally, Emily is a very well-liked and respected person around Rosemont. And with her connections to Northwestern and the Bandits, she has quickly emerged as one of the biggest fan favorites. She is a great example of the type of player we want here in Chicago and we look forward to another great year."

Allard, who was drafted by the Bandits with the 12th overall selection in the 2014 NPF College Draft, burst on the scene in a big way as she hit safely in her first six professional games.

She finished the season with a league-leading 57 hits and she led the team with a .385 batting average, which was good enough for third in the league. Allard also led the league in runs scored with 35 and she paced the Bandits with a .409 on-base percentage.

Despite some personal success on and off the field for Allard, she knows that there is even more in store for the Bandits in future.

"The Bandits organization is one-of-a-kind and I believe we have the best fan base in the league; there is nowhere else I would rather play than right here in Rosemont with my incredible teammates," exclaimed Allard. "I couldn't be more excited."

Allard continued, "I watched former teammates of mine play for the Bandits for most of my college career and I couldn't wait for the opportunity to do the same. Last summer was everything I dreamt it would be and more. Those were some of the most rewarding months of my life and I am honored to come back for another year."

Allard and former Northwestern teammate Kristin (Sharkey) Jensen recently opened their own slapping business, Be The Momentum, and they'll be running clinics across the country this winter. One of the first clinics is scheduled for November 16 at The Dome at the Ballpark and registration is now open at www.chicagobanditsevents.com.

Allard will begin a position with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) in December before returning to Rosemont for the 2015 season.

Season ticket and Bandits of Tomorrow packages for the 2015 season are available now by calling the office at (877) 7BANDIT or visiting www.chicagobandits.com.
