Toronto Marlies News Release
Last Week
In the past 10 days the Marlies played three games posting a record of 1-2-0-0.
The action began October 24th at home against the Hamilton Bulldogs. The Marlies started the game strong but found themselves down 3-0 after two periods. An early goal in the third from Connor Brown gave the Marlies a burst of momentum, however they could not make up the difference, losing 4-1. The next day the Marlies travelled to Utica to take on the Comets, affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks. The Comets played a strong game and despite a solid effort from goaltender Christopher Gibson the Marlies couldn't generate any offence, losing 4-0. The Marlies then headed home to host to the Rochester Americans this past Saturday. The club played arguably their best game of the season generating lots of offence and using the body to control the play. The second period would see Toronto break out for three goals while allowing only one. That would be all the offense Toronto would need as they would win 3-1.
Spencer Abbott, Greg McKegg and Connor Brown scored for the Marlies, while Chris Gibson registered the win.
