Mavericks Invade: The Oilers and Mavericks face off for the first of 10 meetings during the 2014-15 regular season. Tulsa is looking to stay unbeaten on home ice and Missouri is still searching for its first victory of the season. Last season, the Oilers won just two of the nine contests against the Mavericks and went winless in the four games at the BOK Center. Despite being shutout in Wichita on Wednesday, the Oilers are still averaging five goals per game while the Mavs have mustered only three totals goals in losses to Indianapolis and Fort Wayne. Jon Booras leads the Oilers with six points (6 assists) and the Mavericks are led by Sebastien Thinel, Evan Vossen, and Kellan Tochkin, who have each recorded two points.

First Setback: Tulsa suffered its first loss of the season on Wednesday night, a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Wichita Thunder. After scoring 15 goals in their first two outings, the Oilers attack was shut down by Thunder goaltender Tim Boron who turned aside 27 shots. Wichita capitalized on a 5-on-3 power play in the second period and evened the Stone Wolf Casino Cup series at one game apiece.

Spooky Setting: The Oilers are playing at home on Halloween for the first time since 2010 and for just the fifth time in franchise history. Tulsa is 1-2-1 at home on the holiday with the only victory coming way back in 2003, a 3-2 win over the Oklahoma City Blazers.

Holding Serve: After picking up a 6-5 overtime win in Sunday's home opener, the Oilers will attempt to start 2-0 at home for the first time since 2010. The longest home-winning streak to start a season occurred in 2002-03 when the Oilers ripped off 10 straight victories.

Where He Left Off: Expectations were high for Oilers forward Adam Pleskach coming into to his second pro season. In 2013-14, Pleskach led all first-year CHL players with 33 goals and was named to the CHL All-Rookie Team. The Manitoba native scored twice in each of the Oilers' first two games this season and is +3 through the first three contests.

Blue Line Barrage: One-third of the Oilers' offense has been provided by the defense corp. Second-year blue-liner Scott Macaulay found the net in each of the first two games while defensemen Kevin Noble, Jake Obermeyer, and Nathan Lutz have each scored once.

Myron Dealt: The Oilers traded forward Wes Myron to Evansville on Thursday. Myron, 22, was acquired from Kalamazoo before the season and had one assist in three games as an Oiler.

Oil Drops: The Oilers have not defeated the Mavericks at the BOK Center since earning a 6-4 win on February 1, 2013...Kyle O'Kane and Steve Mele have been placed on the ECHL reserve list, Ty Bilcke has been activated tonight after sitting out Wednesday's game in Wichita...
