Clinton LumberKings News Release

Clinton, IA -  The Clinton LumberKings are pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Weisman to Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations. He spent 2014 with the LumberKings as the assistant to this position.

Weisman, of Marblehead, Massachusetts, was hired just prior to the 2014 season after he spent 2013 as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations with the Bellingham Bells, a member of the West Coast League, a summer collegiate league in the Northwest. Just 90 miles north of Safeco Field in Seattle, he called all 60 games of the summer season for the Bells.

In 2014, Weisman called three innings of play by play for all 70 home games as well as commuters for Clinton. In addition to on-air responsibilities, the 25-year-old assisted with game notes, press releases, and other media responsibilities. In 2015, he will have the call of all 140 LumberKings games on WCCI 100.3 FM.

The 2015 season gets underway on April 9th, as the LumberKings host the Beloit Snappers at Ashford University Field.
