Bunz Reassigned to OKC; Reum Added to Blueline

Wichita, KS (Oct. 24th) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, announced several roster moves this afternoon including goaltender Tyler Bunz being reassigned to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League by the Edmonton Oilers (NHL). The team also announced the signing of defenseman Dalton Reum (ree-UM) while activating forward Stephen Schultz to the line-up. Defenseman Zack Josepher and forward Joe Caveney were both placed on reserve.

Bunz was assigned to the Thunder on October 9th. The third-year netminder out of St. Albert, Alberta is expected to join the team tonight as the Barons take on the Texas Stars at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City. The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder has spent parts of the last two seasons with the Barons. Bunz is a former fifth-round selection of the Edmonton Oilers (121st overeall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Reum, 22, enters his second professional season after playing with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL as a rookie. A native of Camrose, Alberta, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound defenseman appeared in 52 contests, collected eight assists and 76 penalty minutes during his rookie campaign. Prior to turning pro, Reum played three seasons in the WHL with the Vancouver Giants and Swift Current Broncos. In 212 career games, he amassed 37 assists (8g, 29a) and 191 penalty minutes. He signed in the offseason with the Ontario Reign before landing in Wichita.
