Charleston RiverDogs News Release

CHARELSTON, SC - Charleston RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols has announced that Haley Kirchner has been promoted to Director of Community Relations.

Kirchner has been with the RiverDogs since she graduated in 2013 with a communications degree from Westfield State University. She began her time with the RiverDogs as an intern in the spring of 2013, and was elevated to the position of special events and promotions assistant the following year.

She replaces Lauren Allio, who held the position since 2011.

"I am pleased to announce the promotion of Haley Kirchner as our new director of community relations," said Echols. "She has been with us for a while and has an understanding of how the RiverDogs view the importance of our being in the forefront of our community."

"I could not be more excited to be able to get out in the community more and help spread the RiverDogs message," said Kirchner. "I want to thank the Goldklang Group for this opportunity, and I can't wait to get started."

As the club's community relations director, Kirchner will represent the RiverDogs in many local activities as well as coordinating appearances for Charlie T. RiverDog, the club's loveable mascot.

Prior to joining the RiverDogs, Kirchner, a native of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, interned for the Pittsfield Suns during the summer of 2012.

The RiverDogs open the 2015 season on April 9, when the Lexington Legends come to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park to begin a seven-game homestand.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2015 campaign, and may be secured by calling 843/577-DOGS (3647) or online at www.riverdogs.com.
