Cape Breton Eagles News Release
Sydney - The Screaming Eagles announced today that they have added 19-year-old forward Jacob Smith (95/01/30) to their roster.
Last year he played with the Truro Bearcats of the Maritime Junior 'A' Hockey League, where he recorded 65 points in 47 games. Smith, a native of Sudbury, ON, was a free agent invitee to the 2014 Screaming Eagles training camp but was reassigned to the Bearcats prior to the start of the season. In 11 games this season with the Bearcats, Smith recorded six goals and eight assists. Smith was called up last week by the Screaming Eagles and played three games as an affiliate, recording one assist. The Screaming Eagles roster now sits at 23 players including two goalies, eight defenseman and 13 forwards.
The Screaming Eagles host the Baie-Comeau Drakker Thursday night at Centre 200. Puck drop is at 7pm.
