Game Preview
For the first-time since the 1998-99 season, the Kalamazoo Wings will play a game against a team from Indianapolis. During that season, the K-Wings, who were in the International Hockey League, took on the Indianapolis Ice. Tonight is the first-ever meeting between the K-Wings and the Indy Fuel.
After suffering an opening night loss on Friday, the K-Wings responded with a decisive 6-2 victory on Saturday against the Elmira Jackals. This evening is the last stop of a three-game road tour for Kalamazoo. The K-Wings will host the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday during their home opener.
Indy returns home in search of their first ECHL victory. In their opening weekend, the Fuel had a pair of high scoring affairs against the Komets. In their first-ever home game last Friday, Indy dropped a 5-4 decision to Fort Wayne. The following night it was the Komets edging the Fuel 4-3.
