Alumni Update: McCarty Inducted to Windsor/Essex County Sports Hall of Fame

Windsor, ON - Belleville Bulls alumni, Darren McCarty will be inducted into the Windsor/Essex County Sports Hall of Fame on Friday. McCarty played in Belleville from 1989-1992 and posted a total of 470 throughout those years.
"It's a great honour because that's where I'm from and who I am." McCarty said to the Windsor Star.
The 42 year old was an OHL all-star with the Bulls and the winner of the the Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy as the league's top producing right-winger in 1991-92. McCarty played in 758 NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings and the Calgary Flames, producing 127 goals and 161 assists. He added another 23 goals and 26 assists in 174 Stanley Cup games.
