Esks Duo Named Players of the Week

(Edmonton) - Eskimo rookies Kendial Lawrence and Dexter McCoil earn CFL Player of the Week honours for Week 17 for their performances in Sunday's 24-19 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Lawrence earns CFL Special Teams Player of the Week after recording 221 all-purpose yards, including a 96-yard kick return touchdown to open the second half and 71 receiving yards on five catches.
McCoil earns CFL Defensive Player of the Week. He led the Eskimo defence, recording a career-high seven tackles and one pass knockdown. He leads the league in interceptions after nabbing his sixth in the second quarter. This is McCoil's second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week honour and his third this season.
