Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
The Wolf Pack (2-0-1-0, 5 pts.) gained three out of a possible four points this past weekend, in their first two home games, and remain unbeaten in regulation through three games. The Wolf Pack's home opener Saturday produced a 2-1 win over the Portland Pirates, with Ryan Haggerty scoring his first pro goal, J.T. Miller netting the game-winner and Cedrick Desjardins making 19 saves. On Sunday against Hershey, Jason Missiaen stopped 36 of the Bears' 37 shots, but a power-play goal by Casey Wellman with 1.5 seconds left in overtime sent the Pack to a 1-0 defeat.

This week:
After playing only three games in the season's first two weeks, the Wolf Pack will play four times in a span of six days this week. The Pack head to Worcester to take on the Sharks Tuesday night, in a 7:00 PM game, then play a home-and-home against the Albany Devils. The Devils visit the XL Center at 7:00 on Friday night, and then they and the Pack face off again at 5:00 on Saturday evening in Albany. Finally, the Wolf Pack play home for a second straight Sunday, hosting the Norfolk Admirals at 3:00.
Tuesday, October 21 at the Worcester Sharks (DCU Center), 7:00 PM
- The Sharks are off to a 3-0-0-0 start, in Roy Sommer's 17th season as an AHL head coach. Sommer has coached the most games, 1,271, of any bench boss in league history, and his 579 career wins rank him fourth all-time.
- Defensemen Taylor Doherty (1-2-3) and Taylor Fedun (0-3-3) share the Shark team points lead, and goaltender Troy Grosenick has played all three games thus far for Worcester, allowing a total of only six goals on 107 shots (1.86 GAA, 94.4% save percentage).
- This is the first game of a four-game season series with the Sharks for the Wolf Pack, and the first of two visits by the Pack this year to Worcester. Last season Hartford went 2-2-0-0 against the Sharks, and the two teams also split a pair of meetings in Worcester.
- Broadcast - live with Bob Crawford on Fox Sports Radio 1410, on-line at www.foxsportsradio1410.com and on iHeartRadio. Video streaming at www.ahllive.com.
Friday, October 24 vs. the Albany Devils at the XL Center, 7:00 PM
- Once again this season, at this and all Friday-night Wolf Pack home games, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers at the XL Center, through the start of the second period.
- Also at Friday-night home games again this year, "Hawk's Nest" will be featured in the XL Center's Comcast Coliseum Club, with Bob "Hawk" Crawford, the play-by-play voice of the Wolf Pack, conducting a Wolf Pack-themed interview from 6:00-6:20 PM. Questions and comments will be welcomed from the patrons enjoying the Comcast Coliseum Club's wide array of dining and beverage options. The Comcast Coliseum Club restaurant and bar area is open two hours prior to every Wolf Pack home game, to everyone holding a ticket to the game.
- This is the opener of a ten-game season series between the Wolf Pack and Devils, and the first of five Albany visits to the XL Center. In an eight-game season series last year, the Wolf Pack's record against Albany was 3-5-0-0, but the Pack won three of their four home games vs. the Devils.
- Head Coach Rick Kowalsky's Devils are 2-0-0-1 for five points in their first three games. Last season Albany finished 17 games above .500 at 40-23-5-8 for 93 points, good for second place in the Northeast Division and fifth in the Eastern Conference.
- Albany's Paul Thompson has scored a league-leading six goals in the Devils' three games, including a four-goal performance in a 5-1, season-opening victory at Adirondack October 11.
- For this and all Wolf Pack home games, tickets start as low as $12 for youth 12 years old or younger and are available at the XL Center ticket office, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499.

- This is the Wolf Pack's HOWL-o-ween game. Fans are encouraged to come to the game in their Halloween costumes.
- The Admirals have played four games, all at home, through the season's first two weeks under new head coach Jarrod Skalde, and have split the four contests. Last season, with Trent Yawney at the helm, Norfolk grabbed the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, and finished in third place in the East Division, with a record of 40-26-3-7 for 90 points.
- 6-5, 230-pound Brad Winchester, a 12th-year pro and a veteran of 390 career NHL games, leads Norfolk in both points (1-4-5) and penalty minutes (21).
- This game begins a four-game season series between the Wolf Pack and Admirals. Last season also saw the two clubs meet four times, and the Wolf Pack went 2-1-0-1, with a win and a shootout loss in two home outings.
