Colorado Eagles News Release

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames and the Adirondack Flames of the AHL, announced on Wednesday that they have acquired Chris Knowlton in a trade with the Toledo Walleye in exchange for future considerations. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound forward spent four years at the University of Denver, where he posted 60 points in 138 games, including 32 goals. The 24 year-old played overseas last season with the Tonsberg Vikings in Norway and with Sterzing/Vipiteno in Italy, registering a total of 18 goals and 16 assists in 38 games.

Knowlton enjoyed his most productive season at the NCAA level during his senior year with the Pioneers, setting new career highs in goals (13), assists (16), points (29) and plus-minus rating (+8). He was also named to the WCHA All-Academic Team on two different occasions. Raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Knowlton is no stranger to the Eagles organization, as his older brother, Patrick, played 6 games with Colorado during the 2011-12 season.
