Storm Adds to Receiving Group

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired wide receiver Jarvis Williams, announced Storm vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.

"Jarvis brings more AFL experience to our group of receivers," said Gooch. "He is a skilled receiver and wants the opportunity to help this team win on the offensive side of the ball."

Williams (6-foot-4, 220 lbs., NC State) comes to Tampa Bay after spending the 2014 season with the San Jose SaberCats. The Orlando native began his AFL career with the Orlando Predators in 2012. Williams saw action in 13 games while starting in nine during his rookie campaign and would finish the year second on the team with 74 receptions for 769 yards and 24 touchdowns.

He split the 2013 season between the Jacksonville Sharks and the Predators and would finish the year with a total of 27 receptions for 261 yards and three touchdowns. For his career, Williams has reeled in 101 passes for 1,030 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Prior to turning pro, Williams played collegiately at North Carolina State. He saw action in 44 games for the Wolfpack, hauling in 133 passes for 1,764 yards and 20 touchdowns.
