Rapids to Celebrate Fan Appreciation Night

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - The Colorado Rapids will celebrate Fan Appreciation Night presented by Ciao at the match against FC Dallas on Saturday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m. MT at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, featuring the special 'Jerseys off our Backs' ceremony. In addition to the lucky fans who win authentic and match-worn jerseys from Rapids players, fans in attendance can receive special discounts, giveaways and prizes throughout the game, and see the 2014 team awards presentation after the match. The 'Jerseys off our Backs' program will offer fans the chance to receive authentic player jerseys on the field in a special post-game ceremony. All Rapids players on the roster will present the lucky fans with their shirts - with those playing in the match presenting their game-worn jerseys - complete with an autograph. Rapids staff will visit randomly selected seats in the first half to find the participants, so all fans are encouraged to arrive at their seats early in the match if they would like to take part.

The 2014 team awards will be presented after the game on October 18, including Fan Favorite, which was voted for online last week, along with the MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and Young Player of the Year (all decided by a vote of Rapids players), the team's Humanitarian of the Year, selected by Rapids Community Relations staff and Kroenke Sports Charities, and the Rapids Academy Player of the Year, chosen by Senior Director of Soccer Development Brian Crookham, and Academy staff. The Rapids' Golden Boot winner, given to the club's leading scorer, will be awarded following the final match of the regular season.

In addition to the 'Jerseys off our Backs' program, the Rapids will also be presenting fans with giveaways throughout the game, including prizes for entire rows and sections in the stadium. There will be special discounts of up to 40% off select merchandise, including the Colorado flag themed replica jerseys, at the Colorado Rapids team store and all of the Altitude Authentics kiosks in the stadium.

Fan Appreciation Night presented by Ciao, the Rapids' final match of the 2014 season, will kick off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City. There is a special Lads Night Out package available, which includes a ticket to the game, a Rapids baseball hat, and a 12oz. 90Shilling draft from Odell Brewing Company for just $25.
