IceDogs Fall to Bulls

October 11, 2014 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Niagara IceDogs News Release

The Niagara IceDogs lost an 8-5 goal fest to the Belleville Bulls Saturday night in Belleville.

The Belleville Bulls came out flying, scoring the first five goals of the game. Bulls captain Jake Marchment scored two of the five goals, before DiFruiscia scored with a second left in the frame to bring the IceDogs within four. MacKenzie Savard made five saves before making way for Stephen Dhillon.

The teams exchanged a slew of goals in the second period. Aleksandar Mikulovich, Carter Verhaeghe and Jordan Maletta scored for the IceDogs, while David Tomasek and Matt Luff scored for the Bulls to give them a 7-4 lead after two.

The IceDogs would get within two after Billy Jenkins scored his first of the year, but Alex Yuill answered right back and the Bulls would hold on for the 8-5 win.

The IceDogs are back in action tomorrow afternoon in Kingston when they look to snap their losing streak against the Frontenacs.
