Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release

The Bombers travel to Edmonton to face the Eskimos at 3:30pm Winnipeg time in an important Western Division, Thanksgiving Monday match-up. This game is also the 2014 Bomber Fan Trip game, where fans will join the team on their charter flight to Commonwealth Stadium, are staying at the team hotel, will watch the game live, and experiencing a Thanksgiving dinner with the team after the game before flying home!

Going into this weekend's CFL action, yet again, Bombers QB Drew Willy leads the league in passing yards with 3,503, ahead of Toronto's Ricky Ray who has 3,430 passing yards on the season.

WR Nick Moore and LB Ian Wild will return to the field this week, both coming off of injuries. RB Paris Cotton will get the start at Running Back.

NEXT HOME GAME:

In a very important late-season Western Division match-up, the Bombers will host the Calgary Stampeders at Investors Group Field on SATURDAY, October 18th at 6:00pm! This will be our annual PINK game, where players and coaches will wear pink as part of their game day uniforms, all part of the CFL's commitment to the fight against breast cancer. In November, Bombers DB Demond Washington's entire game kid (jersey, pants, gloves, etc.) will be auctioned off by the CFL in a fundraising supporting breast cancer research. PINK gear will be for sale in the Bomber Store, with partial proceeds going towards the Keeping Abreast Fund.

The tremendously popular Tailgate at the Plaza opens at 3:30pm on October 18th for the Winnipeg/Calgary game, with gates opening at 4:30pm.

And don't forget about our Post Game Traffic Buster party; our DJ spins tunes and you get to hit the field to hang out with your friends! Food & beverages are also available for one hour after the game on the North Concourse. To make sure everyone gets home safe, Winnipeg Transit and our Park & Ride shuttles continue running until the party is over. Fans can call 1-855-Bombers for tickets or call our Ticket Centre at 204-784-7448.
